Why it’s important to pack up

Growing up in southern Alabama, and attending college in backwoods West Virginia made me REALLY, REALLY appreciate diversity and our multi-cultural world. Some people don’t do well with change, and that’s fine, but keeping an open mind to all peoples and experiences is what allows us to grow as a society. I have found that traveling opens those doors and allows me to connect with like-minded individuals.

As a recent college graduate, financial stability is pretty important in my life at the moment, and therefore so is making traveling affordable. This blog will focus on budget backpacking, and will occasionally stray to other related topics such as outdoor landscape photography.  I hope to take you on adventures from the East Coast to the West Coast without ever leaving the comfort of your own home.
